Botanical illustration from Dr Robert John Thornton's Temple of Flora published in London around 1799-1810.  A physician and botanical writer, he engaged notable artists and poets of the time to create a monumental collation of images and poems celebrating flora of the world in their native environments.

Digitally remastered in the USA with exceptional quality from original works of art including subtle detail and patina.  Printed in Australia on fine art archival museum grade 310gsm cotton rag watercolour paper with archival pigment inks.
